A.O. Smith storage water heaters · distributed by MEX
Shower last, still just as hot
An ordinary weekday morning: the first one is done, the second starts hoping, the third gives in to a cold shower. A storage tank heats the water overnight, so everyone gets the same. Nobody has to hope.
If your household waits for the water to warm up, you know
The first one showers in comfort, the second gets a cold shock, and on a rushed morning it is a gamble… so we picked tanks that heat ahead and keep it hot on tap A household that showers together should get the same warm water.

Start with these four

Blue Diamond glass lining, a tank that lasts 10 years
The tank and the heating element are both coated in Blue Diamond Glass Lining, a glass coating A.O. Smith patented itself. The catalogue states it protects the tank from corrosion and cuts scale build-up, extending working life to 10 years and beyond, while an ordinary tank with no glass lining lasts only 3 to 5 years.
Six hours of hot water, five degrees lost
The catalogue states the tank holds water temperature steady for up to six hours, losing only five degrees, thanks to an injected Polyurethane Foam insulation A.O. Smith formulates itself. The Double Heating Element alternates two elements to heat faster and save on power over time, and the catalogue states it is fitted only to tanks of 150 litres and above.
An anode rod for scale, a cut-out for heat
The anode rod catches scale and stands up to hard water, protecting the tank and extending its life. The catalogue describes it as a micro-porous tube with anodic pellet filling and a refillable screw-on fitting. The thermo cut-out shuts the unit down the moment water runs abnormally hot, set differently per series: EES at 74-80 degrees, MEV at 87, ELJH at 85-90.
