Room for two pans at once, without them fighting for space
The familiar problem with a two-burner hob: put a large pot on one side and the pan will not fit on the other, because the rims meet. The HVN632 answers it with a new design that widens the gap between the burners, and the HVH632N with a new horizontal burner layout that widens the same gap. Both burners become usable at once. Each has a high-heat ceramic glass top and a 3,000 W maximum draw.
The wider gap is a design feature of the HVN632 and the HVH632N. Other models in the category lay their burners out differently, so measure your counter cut-out and compare it with the pans you actually use before ordering.
The surface takes the heat every day, so it is ceramic glass
This is where an electric hob differs from gas. The heat does not come from a flame above the surface; it passes through the top itself into the base of the pan, so that surface takes the heat and the weight of the pot every day. The HVN632 and HVH632N use a high-heat ceramic glass top, made to take rapid temperature change and flat all the way across, with no pan support in the way. Maximum draw 3,000 W.
The ceramic glass top is the specification of the HVN632 and the HVH632N. Other models in the category use different surface materials at different ratings, so check the spec of the model you are buying.
Nine heat levels at a fingertip, on a surface that is flat all the way across
A knob that stands out from the hob is the part oil spatters onto and has to be picked clean. The HVC264 moves to touch control for every function, on a surface flat all the way across, with nine heat levels rather than guesswork at a dial. It is a built-in electric hob with four Hi-Light burners on a high-heat ceramic glass top, drawing up to 6,500 W.
Touch control and the nine heat levels are the specification of the HVC264. The HVN632 and the HVH632N use a different control system, so check the spec of the model you are buying.
